Art Meets Art is an initiative by RagaWorld. The idea is to get two or more art forms conversing together on a stage. It aims to introduce a new dimension of understanding arts to the audience and will help not only in spreading the arts to the common listener, but also will give an unforgettable experience of watching the artists perform from very close.

What is different in AmA is a dialogue with a theme. The participating artists will be given a theme or themes for the performance and these themes shall unwind through their performance. At the end of the performance there shall be a small discussion and Questions and Answers session between the artists and the audience.

Today it is extremely rare to find a performance of a combination of some of these art forms. For example, it is easier to find a Dancer working with a Musician, but it is rare to find a Painter painting with Live Music, or a Poetry Recital with Live Music and so on.

These art forms can be anything like Haiku Recital, Live Painting, Live Calligraphy, Photography, Pottery and of course Music and Dance. The performances would be held in different art cafes, art galleries and small theatre places all around Pune. Current plan is to hold one performance every month.

Renowned artists have agreed to be a part of this movement. The list includes Painter Milind Muilck, Haiku Poetess Kala Ramesh, Bansuri Player Milind Date, Calligrapher Sanjeev Joshi, Ikebana artist Mona Pingle and Story Teller Dr. Ajay Nandgaonkar. More and more artists shall be joining in this movement soon as the discussions are going on.
